About the position

The Sales Engineer Analyst position is a vital role within the Visa Acceptance Solutions (Cybersource) - North America team, combining sales expertise with technical knowledge. This position supports the Indirect Sales organization by conducting technical discovery calls, providing demonstrations, and collaborating with various internal departments to enhance partner relationships and drive sales opportunities. The role requires a proactive approach to understanding partner needs and delivering tailored technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical discovery calls with partners.
  • Provide proof of value demonstrations and technical product deep-dives.
  • Showcase API-based demonstrations and create technical architecture diagrams.
  • Document detailed solution requirements and author technical best practices.
  • Offer pre-sales support in a partner-facing environment.
  • Collaborate with the Indirect Sales team to acquire new partners and up-sell existing ones.
  • Articulate how VAS solutions fit within the partner ecosystem.
  • Support existing VAS partners as their needs evolve.
  • Engage in internal knowledge transfer and client-facing discovery calls.
  • Log all presentations and activities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint in real-time.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree.
  • 3+ years of technical pre-sales experience within the payment industry.
  • Experience working with indirect/alliance/channel partners is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical background, including a BS degree in CS, CIS, or a related discipline.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree.
  • Confident speaker with the ability to present to executives and technical contacts.
  • Ability to architect technical solutions based on partner requirements.
  • Self-driven and motivated to learn new technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of CyberSource/Visa Acceptance solutions.
