As a Sales Engineer at AAP Automation, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of outside sales within a designated territory. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers, including establishing long-term connections at the executive level of top client organizations. You will set specific goals and objectives aimed at generating revenue through market development, forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales. Your ability to expand the existing sales base will be essential, as you will build rapport with both existing and potential clients, effectively explain product and service capabilities, overcome objections, and prepare proposals and quotations. In this role, you will also be expected to provide solutions and become a reliable resource for your customer base. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with other Product Specialists, Customer Service teams, and Engineers to exchange information and identify opportunities for expanding product sales. Additionally, you will engage with factory representatives to grow revenue for key product lines. Continuous learning about new products based on vendor initiatives will be necessary to identify value-added opportunities. Performing sales calls, product demonstrations, and other developmental activities to increase market share among preferred channel partners will be essential to your success. You will maintain and submit activity reports and undertake other duties as assigned.
