About the position

The Sales Engineer for Industrial Refrigeration at ColonialWebb is responsible for providing engineering solutions and selling projects related to industrial refrigeration systems in the Mid-Atlantic Region. This remote position requires the individual to be located in or near Central/Eastern Tennessee and involves supporting the industrial refrigeration business through various activities including installation, retrofit, repair, and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Build estimates, quotes, and pre-engineering solutions for customers
  • Procure quotes from vendors and subcontractors
  • Create proposals and present to customers
  • Collaborate with internal project management, field construction, engineering, and estimating teams
  • Perform business development duties to find and secure new business opportunities
  • Perform account management duties to manage and grow existing accounts
  • Act as a technical resource for customers regarding their industrial refrigeration initiatives
  • Provide customers with new information on industry trends, capital budgets, technology, and industry news
  • Build win/win relationships and understand customer objectives
  • Participate in community and industry organizations to enhance the company's reputation

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Ammonia Refrigeration as a Sales Engineer or Project Manager, or 8-10 years of experience in the HVAC industry as a Sales Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of industrial and ammonia refrigeration and its impact on food processing and related industries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to estimate and sell projects
  • Strong networking skills and willingness to join industry associations
  • Ability to manage customer relationships and expectations
  • Willingness to travel in the sales region
