About the position

The Sales Engineering Manager at Shadin is a pivotal role that combines engineering expertise with sales acumen in the aerospace industry. This position is responsible for managing key accounts, developing sales strategies, and collaborating with engineering teams to provide tailored solutions for major aerospace manufacturers. The role requires a strong technical background and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles while fostering long-term relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships with major aerospace companies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to generate leads, create proposals, and close sales, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Work alongside the engineering and design teams to provide technical support, product expertise, and tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Navigate long sales cycles, maintain a pipeline of opportunities, and close deals within a 12-month period.
  • Attend customer meetings (15%-25% local travel) and international trade shows (mainly Europe) to foster relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Measure success through the generation of opportunities, lead conversion, proposal submissions, and achieving sales targets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace sales, preferably with avionics expertise.
  • Solid experience in managing sales processes, closing deals, and driving revenue growth within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong technical and engineering understanding, ideally with experience in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to discuss complex technical concepts with both internal teams and customers, providing value-added solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and handle complex, long-term sales cycles.
  • Deep understanding of sales strategies, techniques, and customer relationship management in a highly technical environment.
  • Ability to travel both domestically (15%-25%) and occasionally internationally (mainly to Europe).

Nice-to-haves

  • Engineering or technical sales experience, particularly in avionics or related aerospace technologies.
  • Pilot certification or familiarity with flight operations and avionics systems.
