About the position

Dynamax, Inc. is seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer - Sales Application Specialist to join our team in Southwest Houston. As a global leader in the production and integration of environmental and agricultural IoT monitoring instrumentation, we are dedicated to expanding our sales into the professional research, engineering, and agricultural grower markets. This position is crucial for engaging customer prospects and driving business development by proposing innovative electronic solutions that leverage cloud computing technologies. In this role, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for presenting solutions to customer problems using advanced sensors and electronic systems/software. You will educate customers on the full range of Dynamax products and services, ultimately leading to successful sales closures. The position also involves coordinating efforts to promote our offerings, preparing quotations, managing contracts, and engaging with purchasing departments. Additionally, you will manage relationships with distributors and sales representatives outside of Dynamax, ensuring that our products are effectively represented in the market. A successful candidate will have the potential for management promotions, making this an excellent opportunity for career growth within the company. We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about sales but also has a strong understanding of the agricultural and environmental sectors, as well as the technical aspects of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customer prospects and drive business development.
  • Propose electronic solutions utilizing cloud computing.
  • Present solutions to customer problems with advanced sensors and electronic systems/software.
  • Educate customers on Dynamax products and services.
  • Close sales and manage the sales process from proposal to contract.
  • Coordinate promotional efforts and prepare quotations.
  • Manage relationships with distributors and sales representatives outside of Dynamax.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a sales representative.
  • Preferred background in agriculture, crop science, irrigation, or Bio-Science.
  • Ability to quickly learn scientific terminology and electronic-tech solutions.
  • Knowledge of customer databases or a CRM follow-up system.
  • Strong personal and computer skills for customer research, proposal creation, and organized communication.
