About the position

The Sales Engineer/Senior Sales Engineer at Fluence plays a critical role in the sales process for energy storage projects. This position involves being the technical lead, providing support to sales teams, and interacting with various internal groups to ensure successful project execution. The role requires a deep understanding of Fluence's energy storage technology and the ability to negotiate technical specifications and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Fluence energy storage technology platforms.
  • Provide technical support and product configuration guidance to sales teams.
  • Negotiate detailed technical specifications for energy storage core and BOP scope.
  • Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for new sales.
  • Lead technical aspects of contract negotiations including scope, schedule, and performance guarantees.
  • Assist in the development of sales tools and support materials.
  • Capture customer technical and application requirements to help shape product roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical Preferred).
  • 3-10 years' work experience in energy storage, solar, or other power generation.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with contract negotiations and familiarity with key contract areas.
  • Knowledge of applicable standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to prioritize and execute on many tasks in parallel.
  • Willingness to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time.
