TOP RATED Co. is actively seeking a Sales Engineer who will serve as the primary point of contact for a highly regarded company. This role involves managing an engineering customer base while also working to expand the new customer base within a designated territory. The Sales Engineer will interact with current and potential customers, including engineers, designers, and other professional and technical personnel across various commercial and industrial establishments. The goal is to convince prospective clients of the desirability and practicality of the products or services offered by the company. In this position, the Sales Engineer will support distribution sales growth through various means such as training, support, joint calls, joint marketing, and goal setting. A critical aspect of the role includes reviewing customer drawings, plans, and other documents to develop and prepare accurate cost estimates and ensure the delivery of properly engineered products. The Sales Engineer will also provide technical support to clients regarding the operation of motors, drives, and related products. The responsibilities extend to preparing and presenting customer quotations, conducting training sessions, seminars, and generating call reports and special reports as directed. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with Accounts Receivables to collect delinquent payments and will be responsible for preparing and submitting sales reports. Sharing market information and collaborating with other departments within the organization is also essential. Participation in the Sales Engineer Certification Program related to the technical knowledge of products is expected. Main job responsibilities include pre-sale consulting and support, motor sizing, product recommendations, and cross-referencing other manufacturers' products. The Sales Engineer will provide technical assistance to sales and field engineers by conducting technical seminars, product training sessions, and setting up demo units for on-site demonstrations and trade shows. Additionally, the role involves preparing technical articles for monthly newsletter publication. After-sale support includes system setup, programming and testing of stepper and servo motor driver/controllers, interfacing products with custom software, troubleshooting products, and optimizing system performance.
