About the position

The Sales Engineer at CAPTURE 3D, a ZEISS company, is responsible for representing and promoting precision non-contact measurement and inspection solutions in the Northwest region. This role involves supporting existing accounts, establishing new ones, and articulating the technical capabilities and benefits of the company's products through various sales methodologies. The position requires a blend of technical knowledge and sales acumen to ensure high customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support existing accounts to maintain high customer satisfaction and increase solutions presence.
  • Establish and manage new accounts utilizing the sales process from initial contact through purchase order.
  • Implement an organized methodology for weekly work schedules to address prospects and opportunities.
  • Articulate technology capabilities and process benefits through presentations, demonstrations, and ROI analysis.
  • Work with the technical team to present tailored solutions for specific prospects.
  • Provide detailed and accurate forecasting of territory opportunities.
  • Regularly communicate and update management on sales activities and progress.
  • Perform other sales and account support related duties.

Requirements

  • 2-10 years of technical related direct sales experience, preferably in CAD/CAM, metrology, or related solutions.
  • Ability to articulate technical information in a simplistic and concise manner.
  • Experience in capital equipment sales.
  • Strong closing skills and a dedicated work ethic.
  • Technical competence combined with excellent presentation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of PC use and applications.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
  • Knowledge of Engineering, Manufacturing, or Inspection/Quality processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Track record of attaining sales goals.
  • Conversant in executive-level business discussions.
  • Formal sales training.
  • Metrology sales experience.
  • Experience or working knowledge of metrology systems (CMM, laser tracker, scanners, portable arms).
  • Sales experience in aerospace, automotive, and power generation industries.
  • Bachelor's degree.
