In addition to customer interaction, the Sales Engineer will work closely with metallurgists and lab teams in both the USA and Europe. This collaboration is essential for developing tailored solutions that align with customer specifications. The role also includes conducting numerous meetings and presentations to potential customers, showcasing the company's offerings and capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the industry, particularly in heat treatment, vacuum furnaces, and metallurgy, enabling them to effectively address customer inquiries and provide informed solutions. This is a permanent, fully on-site position located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, within a clean and well-maintained office environment that includes a testing lab and furnace area for practical demonstrations and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct lead generation activities to identify potential customers.
  • Attend trade shows to promote company offerings and engage with potential clients.
  • Initiate the quotation process once a customer shows interest.
  • Gather specifications from customers and relay them to the team in France.
  • Collaborate with lab and metallurgists in the USA and Europe to meet customer requirements.
  • Conduct meetings and present offers to potential customers.

Requirements

  • Industry experience in heat treatment, vacuum furnaces, carbonizing processes, metallurgy, and industrial furnaces.
  • Experience in CAPEX equipment sales.
  • Proficiency in finding and hunting new customers.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable with extensive travel and office work.
