About the position

The Sales Engineer (Security focus) role at NETSCOUT Systems in Turkey is designed to support the Sales team in achieving revenue goals by delivering high-quality pre-sales technical support and presentations. This position is pivotal in articulating the value of NETSCOUT's products to prospective buyers, ensuring that the best possible technical solutions are provided. As a product solution specialist, the Sales Engineer will engage with some of the largest companies in the industry, gaining exposure to leading service assurance, packet flow switching, and security technologies. The role involves positioning NETSCOUT's security and service assurance product set to meet customer needs effectively. In this role, significant interaction and consultation with customers are essential, making a solid understanding of the sales cycle crucial. The Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with Account Managers to uncover and develop new business opportunities and relationships for NETSCOUT Systems. Reporting to the Sales Engineering Manager, the Sales Engineer will work within a close-knit team of experienced Sales Engineers and Account Managers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on success. Key responsibilities include conducting sales presentations and demonstrations, enabling partners technically, detailing product features and value propositions, responding to RFPs, managing customer technical evaluations, and providing feedback to product management. The Sales Engineer will also lead technical discussions at workshops and tradeshows, architect deployment solutions, perform product implementations, and conduct technical training for customers and partners. Additionally, the role requires troubleshooting product issues, managing technical relationships, and maintaining up-to-date account information in the CRM system. The Sales Engineer will also engage in social events with customers, research market trends, and develop relationships within key accounts, all while adhering to company policies and ethical guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting sales presentations and demonstrations for existing and potential customers as well as partners.
  • Sales and technical enablement of partners within assigned region.
  • Detailing/presenting NetScout's product features, operation, support services and outlining the resulting value propositions to customer/partner.
  • Responding to RFP/RFI/RFQs in coordination with sales account Manager.
  • Installing and managing customer technical evaluations of NetScout's products.
  • Providing detailed/timely customer product feedback and feature requests to product management.
  • Leading technical discussions at partner workshops, tradeshows, and joint selling opportunities.
  • Architecting and recommending specific deployment solutions of NetScout's products for customers.
  • Performing and managing product implementations at customer locations in close coordination with Arbor operations/deployment team as required.
  • Performing technical product training for customers and partners.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving product issues discovered during the trial or implementation process.
  • Scheduling and conducting introduction of customer NETSCOUT and/or Arbor support teams after completing implementations.
  • Speaking on technical or business-related subjects at industry or customer events on behalf of Netscout.
  • Management of the technical relationship with all customers and prospects of the account manager during the sales process.
  • Research the recent market trends and present how our solution can help customers in these new areas.
  • Develop own relationships in key accounts and a strong contributor to overall account relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7 years' experience in IT and/or 5+ years in a technical pre-sales role.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers to understand their technical challenges and requirements and to have effectively proposed desired solutions.
  • Proven pre-sales record of success and achievement for themselves and their team.
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise security, network, datacenter and cloud architectures from an architecture standpoint.
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity ecosystem and specifically of technology and market in the Network Detection and Response space desirable.
  • Strong Networking and Application background along with a working knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems.
  • Experience designing and optimizing complex LAN environments.
  • LAN/WAN and wireless networking principles and protocols including Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLAN, WLAN, Firewall, DMZ, VPN, IDS, switches, routers, firewalls.
  • TCP/IP protocols: SMTP, SNMP, Netflow, FTP, HTTP, SSH, SSL.
  • Network Security Deep Knowledge: NDR, Firewall, IDS, IPS, SIEM.
  • Specific knowledge in designing Packet Broker technology.
  • Service Assurance Knowledge specifically Network performance management.
  • SDN/NFV and Virtualization knowledge.
  • Public/Private Cloud experience.
  • Experience responding to or creating RFI or RFPs.
  • Demonstrable experience to work with large, complex enterprise accounts.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization, time management skills and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-motivated and constantly looking for ways to improve both product and process.
  • Leadership skills in terms of contributing to the sales strategy from a solution requirements standpoint.
