About the position

The Sales Engineer at CACI's Ascent Vision Technologies (AVT) team in Belgrade, MT, is responsible for driving strategic growth within the defense and aerospace industry, particularly focusing on military-grade optics, software, integrated counterUAS, and ground-based ISR systems. This role involves leveraging AVT's strengths to build relationships, expand markets, and achieve business results, maximizing sales and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on AVT initiatives to drive growth through market expansion, product expansion, and new technology development.
  • Create an environment of unified vision between the customer, AVT, and CACI's broader business development team and CACI's products and services groups.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key customers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Sales and/or Business Development experience.
  • 7+ years of industry related sales, sales management, or defense contract experience in the DoD market.
  • Proven track record of developing sales pipelines, exceeding quotas, and year-over-year growth.
  • Senior-Level understanding of the marketplace and trends, able to find solutions to shortcomings in sales numbers through actively managing opportunities.
  • Ability to interact with the customer to understand and translate customer requirements to AVT engineering requirements.
  • Understanding of foreign militaries and partnering relationships.
  • Ability to brief product portfolio to all levels within DoD and foreign militaries.
  • Ability to travel on short notice to support customer engagements and product demonstrations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bozeman, MT location is preferred, but not required
  • Global / International experience is a plus
  • Active Security Clearance
  • Experience with sales, front-end of the business, Face-to-Face customer interactions
  • Familiarity with optics and photonics and/or C-UAS domain
  • Familiar with data analytics market trends and applications
  • Enjoys working with people, developing relationships and sharing knowledge
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-stakes environment
