About the position
Kforce has a client seeking a Sales Engineer in Cleveland, OH. This is a remote role that requires overnight travel within Ohio. The ideal candidate will have proven industrial or technical sales experience. The position offers a base draw salary along with uncapped commission opportunities. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing a territory and maintaining existing accounts. You will analyze client needs to identify the best solutions to solve their problems and present these solutions as value propositions. The ability to overcome objections to secure sales is crucial in this role. Additionally, you will be expected to develop and maintain a networking and cold/warm calling plan to identify and contact new prospects, thereby creating new opportunities. Documenting business development activities through the company-supplied CRM is also a key responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop a territory and maintain existing accounts.
- Analyze a client's needs to identify the best solution to solve their problem.
- Present the solution to the client as a value proposition and overcome objections to secure a sale.
- Develop and maintain a networking and cold/warm calling plan.
- Identify and contact new prospects to find/create new opportunities.
- Document business development activities through the company supplied CRM.
Requirements
- Engineering degree is a plus, but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial or technical sales experience.
- Strong mechanical and sales aptitude with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to sell to individuals and small groups of influencers: engineers, safety, plant management, operations.
