About the position

We are looking for a dynamic SAS Sales Engineer to join our team and contribute to our success. This role is a 50/50 blend of technical expertise and sales acumen, requiring a deep understanding of complex analytics and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions, as well as the ability to communicate their value to potential clients. The SAS Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our technical offerings and the needs of our clients, ensuring that we deliver tailored solutions that meet their specific requirements. In the technical aspect of the role, the SAS Sales Engineer will collaborate with the technical team to gain a deep understanding of our SAS-based analytics solutions and full-service RPA offerings. This includes developing and delivering product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept projects tailored to client needs, including those involving RPA. The engineer will also assist in the design and architecture of SAS and RPA solutions that meet specific client requirements, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the pre-sales process, and stay current with the latest advancements in SAS technologies, RPA, and industry trends to provide cutting-edge solutions. On the sales side, the SAS Sales Engineer will partner with the sales team to identify and qualify new business opportunities in both SAS and RPA domains. Engaging with prospective clients to understand their business challenges and articulating how our SAS and RPA solutions can address those needs is essential. The engineer will develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders throughout the sales cycle, support the sales team in preparing proposals, RFP responses, and sales presentations, and work closely with marketing to provide input on collateral, webinars, and other sales enablement materials.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the technical team to gain a deep understanding of our SAS-based analytics solutions and full-service RPA offerings.
  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept projects tailored to client needs, including those involving RPA.
  • Assist in the design and architecture of SAS and RPA solutions that meet specific client requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the pre-sales process, ensuring a smooth transition to the implementation team.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in SAS technologies, RPA, and industry trends to provide cutting-edge solutions.
  • Partner with the sales team to identify and qualify new business opportunities in both SAS and RPA domains.
  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their business challenges and articulate how our SAS and RPA solutions can address those needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales or sales engineering role, preferably with a focus on SAS, RPA, or similar analytics and automation platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of SAS software, RPA tools, and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in solution selling and a track record of successfully supporting sales efforts.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
