About the position

HTS Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team in Peabody, MA. As the largest independent commercial HVAC manufacturers' representative in North America, we pride ourselves on our commitment to the success of all stakeholders involved in HVAC system selection, design, purchase, installation, and maintenance. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with HVAC and VRV equipment selections, equipment layouts, pricing, and quotations, all under the mentorship of experienced sales professionals. In this role, you will be actively involved in various aspects of the sales process, including site visits, design sessions, and job closings. You will have the chance to interact directly with customers, participate in customer entertainment, and build lasting relationships with suppliers and coworkers. Our mentorship approach ensures that you will receive valuable hands-on learning experiences that will enhance your understanding of the HVAC industry and the construction process. We are looking for driven and outgoing individuals who are eager to learn and succeed in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Responsibilities

  • Engage in HVAC and VRV equipment selections and layouts.
  • Prepare pricing and quotations for customers.
  • Conduct site visits and participate in design sessions.
  • Interact directly with customers and suppliers to build relationships.
  • Assist in job closings and customer entertainment activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and desire to succeed in a sales environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Proficiency in basic MS software and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Interest in HVAC equipment and systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with bid & spec and design build procurement processes.
