About the position

As a Sales Engineer at UpGuard, you will serve as the central technical point of contact for customers navigating through the sales funnel. This role is critical in supporting the sales team by ensuring customers have a world-class experience during trials and proof of concepts (POCs). You will leverage your technical expertise to assist in closing new business and improving the trial process based on customer feedback and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Support prospects during trials and proof of concepts (POC) of the platform.
  • Identify prospect pain points and challenges during trials/POCs while defining their goals and influencing their requirements.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for any support queries during the trial process.
  • Assist with customer security assessments, RFPs, and business cases as required.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve the trial/POC experience by identifying key insights, trends, and areas of improvement.

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or technical customer support role at a B2B SaaS company.
  • A solutions-driven problem solver with a strong curiosity to understand underlying issues.
  • Proven ability to deliver product demonstrations and presentations to customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer interactions during the trial process.
  • High degree of technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback and collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Information Technology or Software Engineering degree.
  • Experience or a keen interest in cybersecurity.
