The Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating and maintaining relationships with clients, and managing the sales process from lead generation to closing deals. This role involves understanding customer needs, developing tailored solutions, and achieving sales targets to drive company growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in hunting for, identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong, productive relationships across all verticals, including C-level executives, directors, supply chain, engineering, and buyers. This position requires a strong consultative and relationship selling approach, with the ability to navigate complex sales environments. The Sales Engineer will be expected to demonstrate strong selling skills, including overcoming adversity, tactical planning, effective execution, and achieving ambitious sales goals. Experience in specialized industries such as Aerospace, Defense, Energy, Space, and Semiconductor is highly valued. Candidates must be US Citizens and meet the minimum requirements to travel by car and airplane in the continental U.S. and internationally, primarily to Canada. A college degree in engineering, sciences, economics, or business is preferred, along with a minimum of five to ten years of previous sales or engineering experience in the manufacturing or related industry. Strong organizational abilities, good communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach are essential. The ability to work unsupervised and take initiative is also crucial, as the Sales Engineer will work closely with our Customer Focused Team (CFT) and executive staff. Travel is required for this position, and employees will operate in compliance with all recognized standards that Precinmac adheres to, such as AS9100 and ISO 9000.
