About the position

The Sales Engineer position is a territory-based role focused on driving new business and managing existing accounts for a company specializing in electronic test and measurement solutions. The role involves working autonomously, scheduling meetings, and engaging with clients across various sectors including education, automotive, aerospace, and R&D manufacturing. The successful candidate will leverage their sales experience and technical knowledge to promote highly technical electronic products.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business and account management within the allocated territory.
  • Schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings with clients.
  • Maintain profit margins and negotiate costs effectively.
  • Network and grow existing accounts while acquiring new clients.
  • Work independently from home, managing your own diary.

Requirements

  • Sales experience, ideally in electronics, electrical, physics, or capital equipment sales.
  • Understanding of test & measurement or instrumentation equipment is advantageous.
  • Strong new business development skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the education, automotive, aerospace, or R&D manufacturing sectors.
