About the position

The Sales Engineer at CAPTURE 3D, a ZEISS company, is responsible for representing and promoting precision non-contact measurement and inspection solutions in the Northwest region. This role involves supporting existing accounts, establishing new ones, and articulating the technology capabilities and benefits of the company's solutions. The position requires a combination of technical knowledge and sales skills to maintain high customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support existing accounts to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and increase solutions presence within current and additional departments.
  • Establish and manage new accounts utilizing the sales process from initial contact through purchase order.
  • Implement an organized and structured methodology for weekly work schedules to address prospects and installed base customers.
  • Articulate technology capabilities and process benefits of solutions through presentations, demonstrations, and cost benefit analysis.
  • Work with the technical team to present tailored solutions for specific prospects and their industries.
  • Provide detailed and accurate forecasting of territory opportunities.
  • Communicate and update management on a regular basis.
  • Perform other sales and account support related duties.

Requirements

  • 2-10 years of technical related direct sales experience (CAD/CAM, metrology or related type solutions is a benefit).
  • Ability to articulate technical information in a simplistic and concise manner.
  • Capital equipment sales experience.
  • Strong closing skills.
  • Dedicated work ethic and willingness to work the hours commensurate with the sales position.
  • Technical competence combined with excellent presentation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of PC use and applications.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
  • Knowledge of Engineering, Manufacturing or Inspection/Quality processes is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds for onsite and tradeshow scanning solutions demonstrations.

  • Track record of attaining sales goals.
  • Conversant in Executive level business discussions.
  • Formal sales training.
  • Metrology sales experience.
  • Experience or working knowledge of metrology systems (CMM, laser tracker, scanners, portable arms).
  • Sales experience in aerospace, automotive, and power generation industries.
  • Bachelor's degree.
