About the position

The Sales Engineer at Snowflake plays a crucial role in demonstrating and communicating the value of Snowflake's technology to prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle. This position requires a deep understanding of the industry, competitive technologies, and the ability to connect customer needs with Snowflake's solutions. The role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance product offerings and ensure customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology to prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Conduct hands-on demonstrations and proof of concepts for customers.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake's products and marketing strategies.
  • Connect customer-specific business problems with Snowflake's solutions.
  • Perform deep discovery of customer architecture frameworks and align them with Snowflake Data Architecture.

Requirements

  • 7-8 years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales environment.
  • Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Broad experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies.
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.
  • Ability to connect customer business problems with Snowflake's solutions.
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields; a Master's in Data Science or Business Administration is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Global System Integrators (GSIs) such as EY, Deloitte, Accenture.
