The role involves working closely with applications engineers to design and propose equipment upgrades for industrial clients, focusing on vacuum technology advancements. This position is crucial for enhancing process efficiencies in various industries, including metallurgy, automotive, and food production. The Sales Engineer will also provide technical support and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring they are informed about the latest technology and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Promote company products by designing and proposing equipment upgrade solutions to an assigned account base within a geographic region.
• Develop and implement a vision and method to expand business in a geographical region, including current clients and new opportunities.
• Provide outstanding technical support and product selection assistance to customers.
• Attend trade shows, seminars, and training sessions to stay informed of trends affecting customers and competitive products.
• Maintain company property, including a company car, computer, and demo products.

Requirements

• Engineering/science degree or technical equivalent.
• Experience in an on-site customer-facing role.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and communicate technical information effectively.
• Ability to create custom solutions to address specific process needs.

Nice-to-haves

• Aptitude in mechanical systems, vacuum systems, and fluid systems.
