Tri-Phase Automation is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in our customer-facing operations, where you will strategize and determine solutions to win orders from manufacturing companies in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. As a Sales Engineer, you will be involved in presenting solutions to key decision-makers, ensuring that our offerings align with their specific business needs. Your responsibilities will include business development activities such as scheduling appointments, preparing, and delivering presentations to clients. You will work closely with our telemarketing and New Business Development Team to research client businesses and their requirements. Maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring loyalty through excellent customer service is essential. You will collaborate with other departments to create and implement strategies that maximize success with every opportunity. In this role, you will analyze technical challenges and determine solutions to implement developed applications. A thorough understanding of Tri-Phase's product lines is crucial, as you will be required to provide technical demonstrations and presentations on our products and solutions. The position is based in our Appleton, WI office, with minimal overnight travel and occasional vendor training. Some evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines or urgent customer demands. You will also be expected to make weekly prospecting phone calls to maintain an average of 6-8 face-to-face visits per week.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience and knowledge with PLC, HMI, robotics, sensors, safety, machine vision, and industrial motion control products is a plus.
  • Experience in an automation or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong sales and communication skills.
