The Sales Engineer position at our company involves working closely with customers to provide tailored solutions for their HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection needs. As a leading manufacturer of packaged hydronic systems, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and exceptional service. The role requires a strong technical background in engineering, particularly in mechanical or electrical disciplines, to effectively interpret complex specifications and provide accurate quotes for mechanical equipment based on customer plans. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing detailed quotes and collaborating with our in-house manufacturing team to ensure that customer requirements are met. You will also conduct sales presentations to engineers, owners, and contractors, showcasing our products and their benefits. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, which is essential for driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position is based at our factory located just outside Tampa, Florida, and will require some travel to meet with clients and attend industry events. Responsibilities
- Quote mechanical equipment from plans and specifications
- Work directly with customers, interpreting complex specifications, prepare quotes and work with in-house manufacturing team
- Conduct sales presentations to engineers, owners & contractors
- Manage customer relationships
- Travel as required for client meetings and presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in engineering; mechanical or electrical preferred but will consider other engineering disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years experience in chilled and heating water HVAC systems
- Experience in sales and managing customer relationships
- Experience with HVAC system controls preferred
- Basic AutoCAD skills preferred
