We are looking for a full-time Sales Engineer in our Alpharetta, Georgia location!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and give technical presentations explaining how the products and services work
  • Train other members of the sales team on the technical aspects of the company's products and services
  • Discuss equipment needs and system requirements with customers
  • Communicate with the sales team to understand customer demands and offer sales support where necessary
  • High Level Engineering/Networking Support
  • Maintain knowledge of industry advancements and technologies
  • Create and maintain competitive analysis documents
  • Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective, feature rich, etc.
  • Weekly Reporting detailing KPI progress and predetermined monthly, quarterly, and yearly objectives
  • Attend Trade Shows (As Assigned)
  • Attend sales meetings and customer demos as requested
  • Review engineer drawings, AE documents, and AE quotes as requested
  • Work with Construction Department (As Assigned)
  • Be a resource to review drawings and specs
  • Assist in design as needed, provide guidance and training
  • Continue to hold credentialing and licensing to assist
  • Engage with Architects and Engineers as appropriate
  • Assist with RFI submittals
  • Maintain CSI construction Spec's and Drawings

Requirements

  • Strong Familiarity with NFPA 70, 72
  • Ability to research and become familiar with local codes as applicable
  • Understanding of applicable standards and installation guidelines for project including but not limited to BICSI, TIA/EIA, AVIXA etc.
  • Familiarity with design and layout Structured Cabling Systems, Distributed Audio Systems and Camera Systems
  • Minimum 5 years field experience in installation of distributed audio, paging and camera systems in commercial buildings
  • Experienced in digital drafting and design software
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required
  • Organized, motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision
