About the position

The Sales Engineer at Advanced Energy will play a crucial role in driving sales growth at key semiconductor accounts by providing technical support and collaborating with the sales team, marketing, and design engineers. This position focuses on supporting customers throughout the engagement process, from pre-sales to post-production, ensuring that Advanced Energy's power solutions are effectively adopted and integrated into customer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support the adoption of Advanced Energy power solutions at all stages of the engagement process from pre-sales activity to postproduction/installation support
  • Provide AE solution recommendations, system architecture guidance, schematic review, and on-site customer qualification & debug support
  • Develop engineering relationships with customers to identify and communicate technical requirements for new applications or customer needs
  • Regularly provide technological updates and product training to customers, sales, and distribution
  • Act as a trusted customer advocate, earning the respect of engineering leaders internally and with customers
  • Provide technical perspective that influences the sales strategy

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of power electronics design and/or applications experience
  • BSEE degree
  • Knowledge of power electronics with the ability to qualify, test, modify, and debug power supplies in the lab as needed
  • Solid problem-solving methodology
  • Charismatic communicator with the ability to advocate for customers and the company
