About the position

The Sales Engineering Manager for AV Workplace at Diversified is responsible for leading a team of Sales Engineers in the pre-sales process, collaborating closely with Account Executives to deliver high-quality proposals and technical solutions. This role requires a strong background in audiovisual design and integration, ensuring that the team meets the technical requirements for various projects while maintaining effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain positive communication with Account Executives, Clients, and team members.
  • Manage workload and work assignments for the Sales Engineering Team to meet deadlines.
  • Validate approaches for Design-Build, RFP/RFQ, and Consultant Design-Bid-Build opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent quality deliverables for proposals to Account Executives.
  • Handle associate management duties such as Timesheet and PTO Approval, and conduct individual reviews.
  • Participate in internal kick-off meetings and provide knowledge transfer to assigned Design Engineer after contract award.
  • Conduct vendor product demonstrations/training in local office or remotely.
  • Maintain relationships with manufacturer representatives and vendor partners.

Requirements

  • AVIXA CTS-D Certification (or the expectation to pass within 6 months of hire).
  • Certifications or training with at least one DSP platform (e.g., Biamp, QSC).
  • Certifications or training with at least one control platform (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX).
  • Certifications or training with at least one AV over IP platform (e.g., Crestron, Evertz, AMX).
  • Certifications or training with at least one collaboration platform (e.g., Zoom, Webex, Teams).
  • 5+ years of experience in audiovisual systems design.
  • 3+ years of design experience in the AV industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AV technology, equipment, and systems for Corporate Clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, OneNote, Teams).
  • Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACL's, QoS, VLAN's, and Wireless Access Points.
  • Clear understanding of project phases and the construction process for audiovisual systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • IT/Networking certifications or training preferred.
  • Dante Experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, independent, self-starter with a positive outlook.
  • Exceptional time management skills with a track record for meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Excellent technical writing skills including grammar, spelling, and formatting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam preferred.
