About the position

The Sales Execution Team Member and Operations Coordinator at Northwestern Mutual plays a crucial role in supporting Financial Advisors in their first five years of career development. This position focuses on enhancing productivity by reducing administrative tasks, allowing new representatives to concentrate on client-building activities. The role involves a combination of training, client interaction, and operational support, ensuring a welcoming and professional office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with all Financial Representatives supported
  • Keep a daily updated underwriting log for each advisor to which you are assigned
  • Participate in development team meetings to disseminate and gather information for the betterment of the reps and the office
  • Input information into our Client Relationship Management system
  • Manage the underwriting process which includes requesting and providing necessary documentation and collaborating with prospective clients, advisors, and Home Office
  • Upon policy approval, update underwriting spreadsheet and make FR aware policy ready for delivery
  • Complete Policy Owner Services (POS) as requested
  • Greet colleagues and visitors and make them feel welcome
  • Process, log, and deposit incoming mail/checks, deliver necessary mail to FedEx
  • Assist full time and college Financial Representatives with general Q&A
  • Assist with onboarding of new Financial Representatives & college interns
  • Coordinate office meetings and luncheons
  • Keep reception and common office areas safe, clean, and organized
  • Maintain inventory and order office supplies as needed
  • Maintain telephone system and agency directory
  • Maintain and perform data entry of spreadsheets and records
  • Perform office duties such as copying, scanning, and distribution of documents
  • Answer basic policy owner/policy benefit questions
  • Complete and/or assist with projects as assigned by the Director of Operations
  • Cross-train in other support roles

Requirements

  • 5 years of customer service experience
  • Mid-level Microsoft Office skills
