About the position

The Sales Executive for National Accounts at Marsh & McLennan Agency is responsible for finding, engaging, and developing relationships with new clients while retaining quality customers for the Graham Division. This role involves working closely with Account Managers and other departments to ensure the successful renewal of existing accounts and to provide comprehensive support throughout the insurance process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Quality Accounts by soliciting accounts that meet underwriting and revenue criteria.
  • Prepare Survey and Analysis on New Business using independent discretion and judgment.
  • Market Account in First Year by preparing an Underwriting Submission and marketing the account to insurance companies.
  • Work with Account Managers throughout the Renewal Process to ensure accounts are managed satisfactorily and renewed properly.
  • Assist in the Claims Advocacy Process for unusual or sensitive claims situations as needed.
  • Collection of Premiums on accounts, ensuring timely payments.
  • Engage in personal and professional development and maintain appropriate state licenses.
  • Attend meetings related to the position.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with large national accounts in construction, healthcare, and/or higher education required.
  • College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Five or more years of business experience, with knowledge of the technical operations of an insurance agency strongly preferred.
  • Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment.
  • Excellent management skills and ability to deal with people.
  • High level of organizational ability.
  • Demonstrated sales skills.
  • High degree of self-discipline and motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as math skills.
  • Ability to manage an Assistant.
  • Holds required and appropriate insurance agent's license.
  • Maintain a valid Driver's License or alternate means to visit clients/prospects.
