About the position

The Sales Floor Assistant at JCPenney is responsible for enhancing customer service and driving profitable sales growth. This role involves leading and engaging associates, managing merchandise standards, training team members, and executing sales-building programs to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Model and hold team accountable for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Actively listen to customer issues and resolve problems.
  • Work with Merchandise Supervisor to plan merchandise placement.
  • Assist with inventory processes including cycle counts and RFID scans.
  • Contribute to the Shoe on Display restocking process and stockroom organization.
  • Assist with visual merchandising and maintaining a clean store environment.
  • Support omnichannel processes including jcp.com orders and Buy Online Pick Up In Store.
  • Contribute to Merchandise Transfer Out and Return to Vendor activities.
  • Participate in annual inventory processes.
  • Support company shrink and safety initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
