About the position

A top-tier independent investment bank is seeking a Salesforce Mobile Application Architect to join its internal CRM development team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the internal architecture of the Salesforce mobile application, capable of writing detailed technical stories and guiding the team in the implementation of custom mobile user experiences. This role focuses on architectural design, with development being executed by other team members. Candidates who only have declarative (configuration) experience with the Salesforce mobile app should not apply. This position allows for remote work, with occasional travel to New York City and Houston required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design discussions of Salesforce mobile application architecture, providing guidance to our development team on any platform differences (iPhone, Android, iPad)
  • Work closely with the User Experience team to interpret wireframes and functional specifications, documenting implementation specs that balance UX requirements with mobile channel limitations
  • Convert mobile UX designs into a set of comprehensive technical stories to support project requirements, which will be delivered by our development team
  • Advise on the implementation of custom user experiences on the mobile platform, balancing these with the limitations and constraints of the Salesforce mobile application architecture
  • Participate in Lightning Web Component (LWC) design sessions

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce mobile application architecture and platform-specific nuances (5+ years)
  • Previous experience in implementing custom mobile UX on Salesforce, including knowledge of limitations and workarounds (5+ years)
  • Strong understanding of the Sales Cloud product (2 years)
  • Proven ability to work with UX teams (2 years)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of DevOps best practices and Enterprise Git
  • Available to collaborate during business hours (9am-3pm ET at a minimum)
  • Salesforce Certifications: Platform Dev I/II, JS Developer, or other advanced technical certification

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Financial Services Cloud (FSC) data and security models
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Office, Teams, developer tools
  • Proficiency in designing LWCs, preferably for mobile channels
  • Previous experience working as a Salesforce developer
  • Exposure to custom grid solutions, such as Bryntum or AG Grid
