About the position

The Sales Intern position at Ally Logistics offers an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to gain hands-on experience in the sales cycle. This 12+ week internship includes mentorship from top sales representatives and leadership, along with comprehensive training in both Sales and Operations departments. Interns will engage in customer-facing sales activities, including customer calls, sales presentations, and sales strategy development, while embodying the company's core values of hustle, humility, and a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cold calling, send emails, and leverage LinkedIn to set up meetings for prospecting and lead generation.
  • Source and nurture new customer relationships to build a strong client base.
  • Build and manage loads within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Participate in sales presentations alongside your Sales Coach to enhance presentation skills.
  • Assist in creating sales dashboards and shadow sales leadership to learn effective sales strategies.
  • Help with scheduling, tracking, and follow-up on active shipments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team on load assignments and updates to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on account activities and shipment statuses.

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior standing, pursuing a degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business (preferred).
  • Prior sales internship experience (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
