About the position

We are hiring a Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning Leader for Mannington Mills in Calhoun, GA. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for building and implementing a world-class Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process across the Hard Surface Manufactured Channel. Your primary goal will be to enhance customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory turns, and working capital while ensuring that targeted service levels are maintained. This position is not just about managing processes; it requires a strategic leader who can facilitate and drive results across various functions of the organization. As a key leadership figure, you will oversee the implementation of SIOP, ensuring that the tools and methodologies are effectively integrated into the organization. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic direction and oversight for SIOP implementation, driving the development of SIOP competencies, and leading cross-functional change initiatives. You will work closely with various teams, including Business, Sales, Manufacturing, and Scheduling, to understand their needs and help solve operational challenges. This role also involves collaborating with IT to address operational issues and championing system enhancements to improve efficiency. You will be expected to maintain a high level of customer service while optimizing inventory investment and labor/machine utilization. Additionally, you will review key operational parameters and perform other tasks as assigned, making this a dynamic and engaging position. This is a direct-hire opportunity, and the work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a stable work-life balance while you lead critical initiatives within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for the implementation of SIOP within the Hard Surface Manufactured Channel.
  • Drive, develop, and enhance the competency level of SIOP.
  • Lead cross-functional change, build capability, and enable transactions required to adapt to the dynamic business environment continuously.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service at minimal inventory investment and optimized labor/machine utilization.
  • Understand and effectively build and maintain processes for build-to-stock/build-to-order determination and MOQ/EOQ calculations.
  • Work across the Business, Sales, Manufacturing, and Scheduling teams to understand and help solve their needs while integrating and executing SIOP.
  • Work between IT and Operations to solve operational issues, leveraging existing tools such as Power BI tools, Visual Forecast, and SAP.
  • Champion system/application enhancements.
  • Effectively utilize project work to facilitate the development of cross-functional business understanding.
  • Review Key Factor Parameters such as MRP calendar/shift schedule, lead time alignment, work center/resource group review, capacity utilization charts by machine groups, and day's supply.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Finance, or other related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain disciplines with a demonstrated knowledge of planning, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • Experience in motivating and accomplishing work through others in a matrix environment.
  • Strong, effective understanding of the impacts on financial results.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement multi-functional initiatives resulting in major improvements in operational effectiveness.
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills while focusing on influencing outcomes through respect, influence, and impact rather than formal reporting line accountability.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing, processes, forecasts, supply chain, customers, competitors, and business strategy.
  • Ability to prove beyond stated situations and identify underlying issues.
