About the position

The Sales Lead at Chico's is responsible for supporting management in fostering a customer-focused sales culture that emphasizes the company's values and principles. This role involves driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, and enhancing the customer experience while leading and developing a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and communicate clear expectations for the store team, holding them accountable for achieving brand and performance standards.
  • Oversee basic operational activities such as opening and closing duties, and merchandise flow processes.
  • Supervise associates engaged in sales and inventory management, ensuring proper floor coverage and adherence to sales promotions.
  • Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, and loss prevention as directed by management.
  • Develop a high-performance culture by motivating the sales team to meet sales and productivity goals.
  • Train and coach the sales team on product knowledge and customer service techniques.
  • Model and promote the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles to enhance customer experience.
  • Build and maintain a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns and maintain efficient register operations.
  • Support and implement training programs for store associates and provide feedback for performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
