About the position

As the Sales Lead - Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will oversee the daily operations of a small sales office while driving new business opportunities. This role involves generating and qualifying leads, managing a team of SDRs, and ensuring the team meets performance targets. You will collaborate with the Inside Sales Manager to optimize processes and achieve company growth objectives, while also mentoring your team to excel in lead generation and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize call list to contact homeowners and set appointments for roof inspections
  • Identify homeowner pain points and adequately overcome objections
  • Meet appointment quotas and exceed sales goals
  • Accept calls from prospective clients as they arise
  • Field basic questions and concerns about the products and services offered
  • Attempt to contact prospective clients who have been previously unreachable
  • Notate files and keep communication up to date within the CRM
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and management
  • Oversee the daily operations of a small sales development team, providing guidance and support to SDRs
  • Train, coach, and mentor the SDR team to improve their performance in lead generation, qualifying leads, and customer interaction
  • Monitor team performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure individual and team targets are met or exceeded
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven office culture that encourages growth, innovation, and exceptional customer service
  • Manage office logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization
  • Handle any day-to-day office issues or challenges, escalating concerns to the Inside Sales Manager when necessary
  • Report directly to the Inside Sales Manager, providing regular updates on team performance, sales metrics, and office operations
  • Work with the Inside Sales Manager to align strategies, share best practices, and implement improvements across offices
  • Assist in training new SDRs to scale the team as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Previous experience in sales development, business development, or lead generation
  • Experience managing or leading a small team (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and drive a team toward achieving sales goals
  • Familiarity with CRM systems to manage leads and sales pipelines
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage office operations
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Outstanding listening skills and attention to detail
  • Computer literate
