About the position

The Sales Lead at Lane Bryant is a part-time key holder responsible for leading store activities to achieve financial objectives and enhance client engagement. This role involves managing operational controls, talent management, and ensuring compliance with company policies while fostering a diverse and inclusive culture. The Sales Lead operates as the Manager on Duty in the absence of another manager, embodying the company's leadership principles and driving a high-performing culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead activities to achieve store goals including financial objectives and client service.
  • Operate as the Manager on Duty in the absence of another Manager.
  • Support onboarding and development of associates for career progression.
  • Encourage continuous growth and celebrate positive performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Represent Lane Bryant by adhering to dress guidelines and articulating current trends.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Drive operational excellence and maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • Manage controllable expenses and promote health and safety within the store.
  • Foster a culture that embraces diversity and transparency.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • 6 months specialty retail experience preferred.
  • Prior management experience preferred.
  • Technology proficient and strong business acumen.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; other languages desirable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a leadership role within retail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
