About the position

We are excited to announce the opening of our Sales Lead positions at our brand new store, Hello from Portland, located inside the Portland International Airport. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about enhancing guest experiences by providing essential items that can transform a potentially stressful travel experience into a seamless adventure. Our store offers a variety of products including sundries, toiletries, snacks, beverages, themed apparel, souvenirs, and much more, all designed to meet the needs of travelers in a convenient and accessible manner. As a Sales Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service. You will be responsible for leading the sales team, managing daily operations, and maintaining the store's high standards. Your ability to engage with customers and create a welcoming environment will be key to driving sales and fostering customer loyalty. We are looking for someone who can inspire and motivate their team while also being hands-on in providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales team to achieve store sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage daily operations of the store, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Engage with customers to enhance their shopping experience and address any inquiries or concerns.
  • Train and mentor new team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and organization of merchandise.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in cash handling and retail.
  • Ability to initiate conversations with total strangers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Must successfully complete the Airport Badging Process.
