About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Manager to oversee and enhance our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supply chain management and transportation planning, with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and partners. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient freight movement, managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and optimizing our overall logistics strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage relationships with NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers) and negotiate contracts with Shippers.
• Oversee transportation planning to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Utilize EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems for effective communication with suppliers and customers.
• Coordinate with sales teams to align logistics operations with sales forecasts and customer demands.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock management throughout the supply chain.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics management or a similar role within the supply chain industry.
• Strong understanding of freight operations, 3PL services, and transportation planning.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong vendor relationships.
• Proficiency in logistics software and EDI systems.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
