About the position

The Sales Manager - Aerospace & Defense at Huntsman Corporation is responsible for driving growth and profitability within the Advanced Materials Division in the Americas. This role involves leading a high-performing sales team, developing strategic relationships with key clients, and implementing sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue and market share targets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales leadership within the specialty chemicals or advanced materials industry, with a strong focus on the Aerospace & Defense markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue and market share targets for the Aerospace & Defense, Americas region.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive the expansion of Huntsman's advanced materials solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to enhance the team's skills and performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Control and own the monthly forecast for their segment of responsibility.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and tactics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for business development.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor sales performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize results.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Coordinate with global sales teams to leverage best practices and share market intelligence.
  • Lead high-level negotiations and manage complex sales cycles.
  • Oversee contract development and ensure favorable terms for both the company and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a sales management role within the specialty chemicals or advanced materials industry.
  • Proven success in developing and executing sales strategies and managing a sales team.
  • Strong understanding of the Aerospace & Defense markets, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, forecast sales, and drive performance improvements.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
