The Sales Manager, Venues at Encore Global is a pivotal role responsible for guiding customers through their event experiences, ensuring that their goals and objectives are met to create compelling events. This position requires a proactive approach to sales, utilizing Encore's established sales processes and methodologies to secure business and maximize revenue capture from an assigned customer base. The Sales Manager will work closely with hotel personnel to enhance business relationships and support company initiatives, business strategies, and core values. In this role, the Sales Manager will be tasked with revenue generation by soliciting and securing business through a consultative sales approach. This includes preparing and presenting quotes and proposals in a timely manner, collaborating with vendors and other departments to service events, and attending site visits and planning meetings to support customer experiences. Understanding the event cost structure is crucial, as the Sales Manager will need to incorporate this into solution designs while adhering to established profitability guidelines. Relationship management is another key aspect of this position. The Sales Manager will cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and venue personnel, ensuring that customer information is accurately maintained in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This role also involves maintaining a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets and supporting sales forecasting efforts. The Sales Manager will need to stay informed about new product offerings and emerging technologies that support meetings and events, ensuring they can provide the best service possible to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit and secure business through a proactive, consultative sales approach.
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers.
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events.
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings as necessary.
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate it into solution designs according to profitability guidelines.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and venue personnel.
  • Research and understand customer history to create personalized experiences.
  • Ensure all customer information is accurate in the CRM system.
  • Refer and guide customers through the Encore network for additional opportunities.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
  • Support sales forecasting efforts and ensure accuracy.
  • Stay informed about new product/service offerings and emerging technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience required.
  • 1 year of technology sales or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred.
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospitality sales.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and other computer skills.
