About the position

The Automotive Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and driving performance to achieve sales goals. This role involves managing and training sales representatives, overseeing pre-owned operations, and maintaining high morale within the team while focusing on customer retention and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, train, and direct a team of Automotive Sales Representatives.
  • Oversee all pre-owned operations.
  • Engage customers early in the sale to maximize gross sales.
  • Support, encourage, and motivate sales personnel daily to maintain high morale.
  • Exhibit a professional management style that sets an example for enthusiasm, productivity, and accountability.
  • Accountable for daily performance metrics in sales, appointments, and call follow-up.
  • Manage reports and inventory analysis with the General Manager daily.
  • Support other operational units within the store to maximize dealership opportunities.
  • Follow up with existing customers to confirm satisfaction and generate future leads.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of sales management experience.
  • Certified Pre-owned Sales Experience is required.
  • 2 to 5 years of successful experience as a sales representative in auto sales.
  • Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
  • Clean valid driver's license.
