About the position

The Sales Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton in Billings, Montana is responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing existing hotel accounts. The Sales Manager will achieve productivity and activity goals set by management, engage in direct sales, manage key accounts, and utilize yield management techniques to enhance the hotel's financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new accounts and grow current hotel accounts to meet revenue goals.
  • Conduct direct sales calls targeting high revenue potential clients.
  • Maximize current hotel key accounts for revenue growth.
  • Capture competitor's accounts through networking and research.
  • Follow up on leads within 48 hours to create new business opportunities.
  • Plan and implement a targeted account development strategy.
  • Utilize yield management techniques to negotiate room rates and function space commitments.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date file management system for client interactions.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through frequent communication.
  • Conduct market research to capitalize on hotel strengths and competitor weaknesses.
  • Focus on revenue-producing activities and maximize selling time.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt.
  • Strong sales skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and financial transactions.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as touring properties and attending functions.
