About the position

The Sales Manager - End Markets is responsible for direct selling to select OEMs and Integrators, focusing on introducing and training customers on solutions that exceed their expectations. The role aims to achieve above-market growth through value selling and serves as a bridge between customers and the Dorner organization regarding sales activities and relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Grow sales at select OEMs and Integrators within focus end markets.
  • Capture significant market share in assigned region.
  • Partner with applications and engineering resources within targets.
  • Build deep relationships and understand customers' challenges.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers on products and markets.
  • Inform the organization on key market trends and challenges.
  • Maximize use of CRM to manage targets, customers, activities, and KPIs.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and the Dorner organization.
  • Create an annual plan on revenue and steps to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Implement action plans to overcome shortfalls or competitive situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering course of study preferred.
  • 5+ years of direct selling and converting accounts experience.
  • Direct sales experience selling to OEMs and Integrators within the industrial, automation, food, and packaging industries preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite software, ERP, and CRM.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and professionally present the Product Portfolio to Accounts.
  • Ability to read Project Specifications and verify if Dorner can meet the requirements.
  • Ability to read Architectural and Mechanical Design Blueprints.
  • Ability to build relationships and negotiate with clients.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to analyze data and make timely decisions.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
