About the position

The Sales Manager for Facility Solutions at Veritiv is responsible for overseeing the development and direction of profitable sales within a specified region. This role involves managing a team of sales professionals, implementing corporate initiatives, maintaining supplier relationships, and expanding the customer base. The position requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to the entire sales process, from prospecting to account management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales meetings, trainings, and account/pipeline reviews regularly with the sales group.
  • Create a personal network and represent the organization at business sector events to enhance the company brand.
  • Implement sales and marketing strategies to the team to achieve Territory and Regional objectives.
  • Set performance objectives for team members and hold them accountable for achieving these.
  • Develop a team of high performers who grow business through new account acquisition and expanding share of wallet.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of related supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports.
  • 15+ years of related job experience.
  • Experience and knowledge in Facility Solutions or similar industry is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills are essential.
  • Experience managing a team of 5-10 direct reports is required.
  • Territory sales or account management experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding or experience from a large, national or decentralized distribution organization preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Experience in strategic management and leadership across company functions directing substantial resources over long time frames.
  • Strong planning and organization skills are required.
