About the position

The Sales Manager for General Aviation is responsible for leading sales and marketing efforts within the Americas region. This role focuses on developing business opportunities, achieving sales goals, and enhancing customer relationships. The manager will contribute to strategic planning, implement quality standards, and oversee special projects to drive sales growth and brand retention.

Responsibilities

  • Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Lead GA Sales initiatives within the Americas region to improve brand, retain business, influence/win new business and grow Sales.
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  • Participates in formulating and developing long-range sales and marketing goals and objectives.
  • Sources new business with current and new customers, to meet defined sales goals of product and service.
  • Creates and submits reports of progress and achievements on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
  • Performs special projects and related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • B.S. or C.P.M. / APICS certification a plus.
  • Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sales skills (prospecting, high value questions, presentation skills, reporting).
  • Understanding of General Aviation Industry and Customer Network.
  • Computer skills (with knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce.com or equivalent opportunity tracking system).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
