About the position

The Sales Manager at Genesis of Littleton will lead the retail sales floor, ensuring a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the organization's mission and values. This role involves directing teams to achieve sales, operational, financial, and customer satisfaction metrics, while also nurturing relationships with customers and staff to enhance the sales process.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and enhance the sales process.
• Build rapport with customers to establish a customer network.
• Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals.
• Help manage the productivity of the sales department.
• Facilitate regular sales training for continued team growth.
• Engage in monthly sales forecasting and tracking.
• Assist in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions.
• Track incoming sales leads and assist customers in a timely fashion.
• Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting vehicle sales.
• Conduct sales training meetings.
• Work with salespeople on programs to increase sales and help close deals when necessary.
• Appraise incoming used vehicles following established standards for appraising trades.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a sales management role, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze sales metrics and forecast sales performance.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting vehicle sales.

Nice-to-haves
