About the position

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for managing accounts to ensure guest satisfaction and to solicit both past and new business, with the goal of achieving or exceeding all revenue targets. This role involves leading a team, maximizing revenue through effective sales strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates to meet brand standards.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current, and potential clients.
  • Use professional sales techniques to negotiate favorable terms and conditions for customers.
  • Manage accounts ensuring all solicitation and closing aspects are documented.
  • Coordinate participation from various departments in servicing accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with key accounts to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Articulate and leverage hotel benefits to close sales opportunities.
  • Travel locally for outside calls, hotel promotion, and competition review.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines related to HHMs EarthView program.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred.
  • Proven track record in sales required.
  • Previous hospitality sales experience preferred.
