About the position

The Sales Manager (Key Accounts) at Glanbia Nutritionals is responsible for managing and developing customer relationships within the Southeast market of the USA. This role focuses on maintaining existing accounts while actively seeking new business opportunities to enhance sales and distribution of the company's nutritional ingredient portfolio. The Sales Manager will engage in various sales activities, including customer care coordination, sales presentations, and market opportunity execution, to drive growth and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customers within the Southeast market of the USA.
  • Hunt and develop the Southeast area market.
  • Develop new accounts via leads from magazines, internet, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Assist in identifying and executing market opportunities to increase sales.
  • Coordinate customer care from order placement to shipment and issue resolution.
  • Prepare sales quotes, negotiate pricing, and provide business solutions to close sales.
  • Present and deliver sales programs and custom solutions to customers.
  • Interface with customers to resolve collection issues and promote new products.
  • Travel to customers for face-to-face meetings to enhance relationships and address product queries.
  • Track monthly sales and profit to prevent business loss due to competitive issues.
  • Follow through on all leads via phone, email, or personal visits.
  • Stay current with industry news and trends through events and memberships.
  • Ensure up-to-date product knowledge and share insights on competition and opportunities.
  • Participate in the development and execution of the company's sales strategy.
  • Capture sales activity in CRM for effective communication with distribution partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Food or Nutrition Science or Sales & Marketing with a technical background.
  • 5 years of experience in sales or business development.
  • Results-focused and oriented toward team goals.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
