About the position

The Sales Manager at Stanton Optical is responsible for leading the sales team, driving sales performance, and creating a positive team atmosphere. This role involves supporting the Brand Manager in executing action plans, training and coaching associates, and ensuring effective store operations. The Sales Manager will also collaborate with the Clinical team and Lab Staff, providing opportunities for career growth and development within a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales to exceed personal and store goals while delivering outstanding customer service experience.
  • Support Brand Manager duties frequently acting as Manager on duty.
  • Support store talent acquisition and talent development, including direct recruiting and training new team members.
  • Build strong partnerships with Clinical services.
  • Analyze daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to ensure staff members achieve desired goals.
  • Communicate effectively and build strong partnerships with the Support Center and Human Resources.
  • Ensure proper lab production to achieve 'Now Service' and 'Ready When Promised'.
  • Execute simple customer repairs, assemble lenses into frames, and edge stock lenses to expedite delivery of eyeglasses.
  • Ensure brand standards are met in the lab area and notify management of equipment malfunctions or incomplete orders.
  • Keep track of delivery time commitments to patients to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with at least one year of experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Experience planning and implementing sales strategies and directing a sales team.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment.
  • Skills necessary to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Optical experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Google Docs, etc.
