About the position

As a Part Time Sales Manager at Carter's, you will serve as the first point of contact for families, helping them navigate the brand's offerings and creating a welcoming environment. This role emphasizes leadership, customer service, and product knowledge, ensuring that both customers and team members feel valued and informed. You will be responsible for fostering an inclusive atmosphere, driving sales, and supporting the development of your team.

Responsibilities

  • Become a product and brand expert to assist families with their needs.
  • Welcome customers warmly and provide assistance with product styles and features.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach on the sales floor.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
  • Model service standards and coach others to success.
  • Lead and execute an assigned business focus area with detailed follow-through.
  • Perform Leader on Duty responsibilities, addressing customer concerns promptly.
  • Utilize customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build customer loyalty through company-sponsored programs.
  • Provide feedback to the store team and raise performance concerns to the Store Manager.
  • Support Asset Protection through customer service and operational controls.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in computer and technology skills (Outlook, Excel, Web navigation, etc.).
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and climb ladders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail management or sales leadership.
  • Knowledge of customer service best practices.
  • Experience with Workday or similar HR systems.
