About the position

As a Part Time Sales Manager at Carter's, you will serve as the first point of contact for families, helping them navigate their parenting journey by introducing new products and providing exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes leadership, fostering an inclusive environment, and continuous education on product offerings to enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Become a product and brand expert to assist families with their needs from preemie to size 14.
  • Welcome customers warmly and provide assistance with product styles, features, and benefits.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach on the sales floor.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for both employees and customers.
  • Model service standards and omni-channel experience while coaching others to success.
  • Lead and execute an assigned business focus area through planning and detailed follow-through.
  • Perform Leader on Duty supervisor responsibilities by driving results and addressing customer concerns promptly.
  • Utilize customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and implement actions to drive results.
  • Build customer loyalty through company-sponsored programs, including credit offerings.
  • Provide consistent feedback to the store team and address performance concerns with the Store Manager.
  • Recognize exceptional performance through positive reinforcement and appreciation.
  • Support the store team with Asset Protection through customer service, safety awareness, and operational controls.

Requirements

  • A positive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient computer and technology skills (Outlook, Excel, web navigation, etc.).
  • A variety of skills and experiences relevant to the role.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
