About the position

As a Part Time Sales Manager at Carter's, you will serve as the first point of contact for families, helping them navigate their parenting journey by introducing new products and providing exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes creating a welcoming environment, fostering team development, and becoming a product expert to enhance customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Become a product and brand expert to assist families with their needs.
• Welcome customers warmly and provide assistance with product styles and features.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach on the sales floor.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for both employees and customers.
• Model service standards and coach others to success.
• Lead and execute assigned business focus areas with detailed planning and follow-through.
• Perform Leader on Duty responsibilities, driving results and addressing customer concerns promptly.
• Utilize customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build customer loyalty through company-sponsored programs.
• Provide consistent feedback to the store team and address performance concerns with the Store Manager.
• Recognize exceptional performance through positive reinforcement.
• Support the store team with Asset Protection through customer service and operational controls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience in customer service or retail management.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in a retail environment.
• Bilingual skills, especially in ESL.
